- Poems on any topic, of any length, and in any form can
be submitted.
- Submit unpublished, original work only.
- Students send $1 for each poem entered. Teachers send
$2 for each poem entered.
- Each poem must be accompanied by the author’s name,
address, telephone number, grade level, and name of school.
- Poems will not be returned so please send only copies
of your original work.
- Deadline: Entries must be postmarked no later than Friday,
June 7, 2002.
Categories:
Teachers: Grades K-12
Students: Grades 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, 10-12
Awards:
1st Prize - $50.00
2nd Prize - $50.00
Five Honorable Mention Certificates will be awarded to students
in each category.
Three Honorable Mention Certificates will be awarded to participating
teachers.
- Winning poems in each category will be published on the
Potato Hill Poetry Website.
- All poems submitted for the contest also will be considered
for publication in our magazine.
- Winners are not eligible to participate in the contest
two years in a row.
