Poetry Residencies/In-Service Programs

Poetry residencies are offered for grades 1 - 12 throughout the entire school year. Exercises in metaphor, observation, rhythm, narrative, and collaboration serve to stimulate student poetry writing.In-service workshops are designed to give teachers new ideas and perspectives on teaching poetry. We take a close look at student writing from grades 1- 12 to see what they are producing in the classroom. These workshops focus on practical, hands-on applications for teaching and writing poetry.
